Looking for kid’s activities in Las Vegas that doesn’t break the bank and is either free or cheap? Finding things to do with kids on a shoestring budget can be hard, but it shouldn’t have to be! And even if you’re not on a budget, per se, it’s nice to find affordable things to do with kids that aren’t such an investment. That way you can leave guiltfree if your group isn’t feeling it!
We live in Las Vegas and are frequently exploring the city with our kids. Check out the list below for 15 ideas of free and cheap things to do with kids in the Las Vegas area. This list has been compiled mostly based on our firsthand experiences.



Best Free and Cheap Things to Do in Las Vegas with Kids
- Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Garden (FREE, but may have to pay for parking. If you have a Nevada license you can scan upon leaving for up to 3 hours of free parking) Bonus is that you can walk out front to catch a fountain show.
- Springs Preserve ($18.95 for adults, $10.95 for children, and 2 yrs and under are free. Even more reasonable if you get a membership and put this one in your rotation. This can be an all-day activity. There are museums, multiple exhibits, botanical garden, playgrounds, splash pad, and café all on site).
- Watch the Knights Hockey team practice (FREE at City Arena)
- Ice Skate where the Knights practice (during open skate times; $10 per guest and $3 skate rental)
- Go for a hike! Head to Kyle Canyon or Lee Canyon to get out of the heat or check out Calico Basin or the Historic Railroad Trail in Boulder City. (FREE)
- Get cheap tickets to an Aviator’s Game (Inexpensive depending on the tickets)
- Check out McKee Ranch Foundation (FREE, but would appreciate a donation)
- Spring Mountain Ranch hike and see the historic site ($10 for Nevada vehicles, $15 for visitors)
- Gilcrease Orchard for u-pick or seasonal activities (FREE for u-pick, but seasonal may have small entry fee. Check website)
- Container Park: playground, restaurants, shopping, etc. (FREE)
- Railroad Museum in Boulder City ($2 for Museum Display; weekend train rides-$12 Adult Train ride, $6 for children)
- Ice Age Fossils State Park ($3 fee. Check out my other page on this State Park here)
- Check out a cool park and playground like: Aliante Nature Discovery Park, Cougar Creek Park, Trigono Hills Park, Fox Hills Park, Sun Trails Park with bike pump track, Huckleberry Park, or Grand Park. (FREE)
- 7 Magic Mountains (FREE)
- Corn Creek Visitor Center and walking trails (FREE)
