Hi! I’m Marie, a Las Vegas-based writer exploring Nevada and the Southwest with my family. I’m a wife and mom of two boys, and I share our firsthand outdoor experiences, family adventures, and the destinations that inspire us along the way. I’m the creator of Pursuit of Wonderment, a site focused on finding experiences in nature that inspire the soul, creating lasting memories, and discovering hidden gems that spark wonder and curiosity.
My family and I relocated from the East Coast a few years ago, and one unexpected outcome was discovering how much Las Vegas and the Southwest have to explore. I’ve always been intrigued by the “nothingness” of the desert, but what we’re finding is that it is full of so much more than meets the eye. There is something mysterious and something awe-inspiring that makes you want to come back again and again.
We frequently explore Nevada State Parks, have visited Red Rock Canyon more than 25 times, and are working our way through the Southwest’s national parks with our kids.
I created this blog as a personal creative outlet as well as a source of information to share with others. I use other people’s personal sites and blogs when I am planning our own trips and find their firsthand insights helpful. I want Pursuit of Wonderment to provide those same kinds of insights for others.
